Analytics: Provide the Brand some Data
Although some brands are “easy” to work with an will send out product and ask for minimal in return, influencers should not get used to the approach. The reason brands are sending out product in the first place is to maximize their marketing efforts, with the hopes of increased brand awareness or to sell more products. With that being said, many brands and marketers need data to quantify their efforts.
Brands are able to gather general data simply by looking at an influencer’s post (engagement numbers – likes, views, and comments), but unable to see demographic breakdowns, reshares, saved content, etc. Most social media platforms make it easy to pull this data and reports – it usually just required the page to be classified as a “business”. This is an excellent way to stand out from the crowd and to show brands that you understand the business side of influencer marketing.
